Alright, I finally finished the Hush Saga Omnibus and yeah—overall I had a really good time with it. First off: the art is doing a LOT of heavy lifting, in the best way. Jim Lee makes basically every page look like “the Batman poster you’d want on your wall.” Big action beats, moody Gotham shots, everyone looking iconic—this thing is just insanely easy to binge because it’s so slick to look at. Story-wise, it’s a straight-up Batman greatest-hits ride. You get villain after villain, betrayals, team-ups that feel suspicious, and that constant “okay, who’s REALLY behind this?” energy. It’s super entertaining, and the whole vibe feels like a big blockbuster Batman season where every episode ends with a new problem. But… the mystery part? Don’t go in expecting Sherlock mode. Some of the plot twists feel more like “we want this to be shocking” than “this is the only way it could’ve gone.” And a couple character choices had me like “Batman would NOT do that… unless the writer really needed him to.” It’s not terrible, it’s just a little comic-book-convenient sometimes. Also, since it’s the saga omnibus, not every part hits the same. Some extra stuff is cool and adds flavor, but some parts feel more like bonus content than “must read,” and the pacing can get a little uneven because of that. Still: if you like Batman, villains, big set pieces, and ridiculously good art—this is absolutely worth it. I’m glad I read it, I’ll definitely reread parts of it, and honestly even when the story is being messy, it’s messy in a really fun way.
